Nobody Threatens the Wedding Florist
A wedding florist is asked to include a threatening message in an expensive bouquet, then receives three apologies from people she has never met. Her delivery manager helps trace a feud that everyone claims is about honor, although the invoices suggest a much smaller motive.
ImagineYourBook writes a fresh draft from this idea.
How it begins
Bianca Russo had included many messages in wedding flowers, but never PAY BY FRIDAY.
She read the card again. Ivory stock. Gold edge. A typeface usually reserved for vows.
The groom's uncle had requested white roses, no scent and a discreet delivery. He had paid in advance, which should have been reassuring.
Luca Marino leaned over the counter.
'Could be a supplier reminder.'
'For a bouquet?'
'People are busy.'
Bianca handed him the second card. It had arrived by courier ten minutes earlier and read PLEASE ACCEPT MY SINCERE APOLOGIES FOR THE FIRST CARD.
Luca stopped smiling.
'Who sent this?'
'A woman I've never met.'
'To you?'
'Apparently nobody threatens the florist by accident.'
Her telephone rang. A man introduced himself, apologized for any distress and asked her to disregard both cards. He would collect the bouquet personally. He did not answer when she asked whether he was the groom's uncle.
Luca wrote the number on the order sheet. Bianca gave him an approving glance. He managed deliveries for six florists and trusted routes more than voices.
Outside, a white wedding car stopped beside the loading bay. A driver got out carrying an envelope and the weary dignity of a person asked to make somebody else's emergency look ceremonial.
'Another apology?' Luca asked.
The driver looked at him in surprise.
Bianca took the envelope. It contained a third card, a bank transfer receipt and a request not to include flowers.
On the receipt, the payment reference named a table number at tomorrow's reception.
She looked at the waiting roses. Their thorns had been removed, their stems cut evenly, every ordinary hazard considered. The people had proved harder to prepare.
'Luca,' she said, 'find the bride's actual telephone number. If this is her wedding, she should know what everyone else thinks we're delivering.'

Develop this idea
Let the wedding couple have agency rather than existing as a backdrop for older relatives' feud. The fraud should be understandable through payment references, account changes and delivery authorization. Avoid associating an Italian-named family automatically with organized crime; the joke is inflated honor around an ordinary financial scheme. Bianca's professional boundary protects the client and her own business, while Luca contributes routes and timing instead of reckless confrontation.
